In November 2025, we received planning approval to convert the former Police Station into a multi-purpose facility. This includes a drop-in centre for young people, supported living accommodation, a holiday let studio, and workshops.

On the back of the planning consent, we were able to secure the funding to buy the police station.
A massive thanks to Kathy Cremin and the team from South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE). For supporting us and giving us money. Kathy has been a tremendous support from the onset, believing in our vision and has been our rock!
Thank you to Third Sector Dumfries & Galloway (TSDG). Thanks also to RS Macdonald. They provided the last of the matched funding needed.
Celebration Time!!
The purchase is just the end of phase 1. We want to celebrate with a open day, so that our community can get a nosey in side.
Mark Henkelmann, our architect, got us through planning in record time. This achievement allowed us to meet Community Asset Transfer time frames. We couldn’t have done it with out you.
NEXT STEPS
We need more funding to pay for the development phase. This will ensure we have a building that is fit for purpose. That will meet our needs and enhance the community. It must also follow planning and building regulations.
In the meantime we plan to carry on running some of our activity groups until we can open fully.
Please see our other project pages for more details on what we want to achieve.
I fully support the transformation of the former Police Station into a hub of hope, healing and opportunity
