As part of the Old Police Station Development, we plan to convert the existing garages into four small micro-business units, with the fifth transformed into a shared kitchenette and toilet. We recognise that many young autistic people want to have a job, earn money and yet for many the challenges of getting a job, or working in a sensory environment are prohibitive. We want to try to change that.
The micro-units will provide an opportunity for any committed and entrepreneurial young person, to set up their own enterprise with support in an autism friendly environment.
